Data Table Headers

Hi, I’m trying to create a data table from data that has column headers that are 2 rows tall. When you convert data (via CTRL-T), the popup has a checkbox for “My table has headers”. But that assumes the top row is the headers. I want the top two rows to be the headers.

Thanks for any help,
Frank

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
Welcome to the board.

You can only have one header row. Insert a blank row.

Without the contents I don't know why you need two rows for the header; would it work for you to combine the contents of the first two rows and just wrap the text?

Originally I wanted to combine as you said, but the person I am creating this for thinks the multiple row headers make the sheet easier to read.

So I kept the header rows "visually" and created the table with the headers in the second row. This gives the user the appearance of a multi row header, but the data table headers are really the last row of the "headers".

Thanks for your suggestions.
