Ciao All ~

Not sure which forum to drop this question into, but here goes ...

I'd like the end user to select from 100 different locations. When a selection is made the sheet will "shift" to the appropriate row on the worksheet.

Is it possible to use Data Validation to navigate a list of cells in one column?

Is a Combo Drop Box a better solution? This would require VBA, no?

I have a Range of Names called Customer, i.e "Reggie Jackson".

Appreciate the guidance.

Excel Facts

Highlight Duplicates
Home, Conditional Formatting, Highlight Cells, Duplicate records, OK to add pink formatting to any duplicates in selected range.
I have a list of Customers 3000 lines long.

When the end user selects a Customer from the Data Validation Dropdown I want an event to take place ...

If they select "Reggie Jackson" and his information begins on line 284, then I want the sheet to scroll to row 284.

in this example

1.$B$13 is a header of the customer list

2.customers named range defined as "list"

3.D14 is a validation which you may select customers

( for cell E14 insert this formula)

=HYPERLINK("#"&CELL("address",OFFSET($B$13,MATCH(D14,list,0),0)),"Click")
