Hello

I have 2 databases (Database A and B which have an identical structure) and I am trying to merge Database B into Database A. The problem is that the master table that I use has a autonumber field which acts as the primary key and has a relationship to a child table. If I just take import directly they will clash as duplicates. Is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening? Thanks

no, you cannot add to autonumber, just let the added records renumber.
NOW, if you have related tables on these merged recs...add a new field called [PrevIndex] and put the autonumber from the merged table in it for preservation.
Then you can renumber all related tables to the NEW autonumber indexs.
