I am a new user here, but an avid Excel user. Great site BTW. Love it. Quite helpful in many ways.

Here is my question. I am working with dates and trying to convert the date to a text month so I can run a formula to add a column to insert quarters (Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4). I have been using If(AND) statements, but my pages are data is getting rather long since I need to go out 4 years from now. anyone knows how to change a Date format (01/01/2009) to be a TEXT month (ie: January) instead of the number 39814?

I have been able to do it, but it requires too much manul work using if(and) statements.

your help is greatly appreciated.
