/e switch has stopped working properly

According to Excel I am using version 15.0.4641.1003 (Part of Office 365).

The command line switch has stopped working properly. It is meant to stop the splash screen and open excel with no workbook open.

It stops the splash screen but it opens with a blank workbook (Book 1).

Anyone got any ideas?

I edited a macro in personal workbook and forgot to rehide it
