Lots of it's pretty similar. Major changes revolve around charts and pivot tables. Some pointers to get you going:
1. To be able to record macros you need to display the Developer tab. It's in the Excel options (click the 'jelly bean' top left of the toolbar, then the button in the bottom of the dialog)
Save files in .xls or .xlsm if you're using macros. The .xlsx format will remove macros when you save a file -- but you will be warned before going ahead. I tend to make the .xlsm format my default (also in the Options, under Save -- select Macro-enabled Workbook)
To prevent the macro warning, go to the Trust Center (also in Options), then Trust Center settings, and Trusted Locations. If you trust a folder and its subfolders, any files located there will open without the warning.
