Excel 2010 Consolidate command

I am working with a very large report 291,000+ lines with about 20 columns. In consolidating line items in the report the consolidate command fails if I select more than 65,500 lines at one time. Does anyone know if there is a hard limit of 65,500 lines for the consolidate command? If I select 65,500 lines the command works beautifully. If I go over that number the command goes through its usual process and completes with no error message. It just leaves a completely blank worksheet. Has anyone else seen this problem?

I am running Windows 7 with 4Gig of memory and a dual core processor. Computing power does not appear to be a problem as commands execute quickly, even when no data is returned.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.
