My remote client and I have a new file running a macro and it seems to be running twice as slow on his new computer with EXCEL 2010 versus my older computer with 2007. The two computers are at different locations. "Prior experience" was that things in EXCEL were just the reverse, that his EXCEL setup was more than twice as fast as my old one.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>

I know that I am introducing two variables here (two computers) and two versions of EXCEL but if you would humor me (because of the “prior experience”) on that and answer the following question:<o></o>
<o> </o>
Do you know of circumstances within an EXCEL file and macros where the 2010 version is slower than the 2007 version (on the same computer). The primary operation that is taking so long is a macro that is doing a goal seek. <o></o>

Mr. EXCEL, In an article you wrote on the internet, you talked about 2010 possibly being slower than 2007 for DAO applications but it seemed that DAO had something to do with links to ACCESS, and I know our file does not use ACCESS. But perhaps it has something to do with regular EXCEL, too?<o></o>
<o> </o>
Any thoughts as to why 2010 might be slower than 2007 (I’m not talking about 2003)? <o></o>
Thanks!<o></o>
