I am not sure if I do not completely understand Excel Charts (in Excel 2002) or if this is a bug but I am finding that when creating a Bar Chart by using F11 I am getting all the same colors for all bars. Can someone please help me with this?

Which Excel functions can ignore hidden rows?
The SUBTOTAL and AGGREGATE functions ignore hidden rows. AGGREGATE can also exclude error cells and more.

hi - welcome to the board!

by default, one series = one colour. to change individual point on the series, select the point, right click - go to format data point & change the colour.

... or plot the Series as rows (opposed to columns).

In the second step of Chart wiz, play with the column-row option.

Pretty much the same effect as Paddy suggested...
