Thanks for looking.

What I am looking to to is hold some excel workbooks on the cloud.

these workbooks are interlinked and work well on a local machine.

links to books in the same or subfolders switched to the correct address just fine, but links to workbooks in other folders have not (as expected tbh)

So i searched and replaced change the front end of the address, "C:" for "http://..." which worked,

then for the rest of the address i tried a search and replace the "\" for "/" but it just wont work. i also tried a stepping stone, replaceing "\" for another symbol, but switching then to "/" just wont work.

with so many links its not practical to do it manually.

any help ???

Hi ,thanks for the reply,

the cloud being used is sharepoint.

the links that migrated naturally did so with a familiar link: https//company.sharepoint.com/etc

the crux of the issue is replacing any character within a formula with a forward slash doesnt seem to work???

Are you using hyperlink? why are you trying to substitute the \ with /?
