excel file size doesn't decrease even delete all sheets and insert new blank sheet

i used data source with nearly 31400 rows and 14 columns to analyse my data in excel but this data source made my excel file from 30 kilobytes size to 5 mg
so i decided to delete data source and keep my sheets but the problem doesn't solved
at the end i insert new blank sheet and delete all used sheets but this new blank sheets with no data is 1 mg?

@Fluff , yep I did that. I was looking for the '5mg' file to look at.

My understanding is that the 5 meg file n longer exists, just the 1meg file.
