Not sure that you can inherit the properties like you mention but, you can validate data in userforms. Usually this would be done when the form is submitted.
i.e. when you press OK. or SUBMIT code runs that validates user input. If the code identifies an invalid value it will create a msgbox and tell the user to edit the value....
