Hello,

I have a Sheet 1 with an Item Number and a corresponding value for that Item Number. If the corresponding value is greater than 0, I want Excel to search Sheet 2. Sheet 2 contains a list of Item Numbers. If the Item Number does not appear on Sheet 2, I want an "N/A" to appear on the first sheet. I hope I explained that well enough. Can anyone help me out with this?

Excel Facts

Format cells as date
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).
assuming

S1 - item number in A, value in B

=IF(B1>0,MATCH(A1,Sheet2!A:A,0),"")

will either give a value (row number) or Error

Assumes item numbers on Sheet2 are in column A
