Excel Input Message

I am trying to create a Gantt Chart using Excel to track our projects.

Down Column A I have several (12) projects
Then I have 7 columns that represent each day grouped into 12 weeks.

I want to mouseover the column and see what day it represents.

I tried comments but I didn't like the indicator showing and I have to hand key each date into each comment.

I tried data validation which eliminates the indicator but I still have to hand key in the dates.

What I'm thinking is somehow using the input message I can call a date represented from a different sheet. For example have Sheet 2 with a list of dates and the input message reference the corresponding cell.
Can this be done?

How to change case of text in Excel?
Use =UPPER() for upper case, =LOWER() for lower case, and =PROPER() for proper case. PROPER won't capitalize second c in Mccartney
Erin,

My response to your similar post, might address this problem too.

One difference between comments and validation messages is that comments can appear on mouse over; whereas the user needs to select the cell to see the validation message.

If you prefer to use comments instead of validation, the Contextures site shows how you can place a triangle over the comment indicator to have it appear to have a different color.

You could use this code and match the triangle color to your cell fill color if you want to hide the indicators.
