Excel. Placing Colon.

Hi everybody
I have some texts and numbers in column A. I want to place ":" sign after first 3 characters and before last two characters. How can i ? I tried with cell format but failed.

Sir i have entered time in A1 by formula =now() and cell format to h:mm. Is there anyway to convert it in text so that the time doesnt update.

@alliswell, have you considered just using CTRL-Shift + ; rather than a formula

Afraid that I don't use WPS mobile (only Excel and Google Sheets) so can't help.

Please remember to state each time that you ask a question if you are using software that isn't Excel (the question should really had been posted in the General Discussion & Other Applications forum rather than the Excel Questions forum, don't do it now as it will create a duplicate post).

If you don't want the time to update then just type it in, no formula needed. Simples
