Hi. Very grateful for the extensive explanation. However, when I put it into my spreadsheet the result is completely blank and shows nothing at all.
I googled it and brought the below. But there is not formula in any of the other columns and it's formatted as black and no fill.
Any ideas why it's doing this?
it may mean that your formula is outputting a "blank" or other white space. It could also mean that you have your cell formatted as white text on a white background (or other color text on the same color background.)
Ok, I have entered it manually rather than copying it and moving ranges. It's ok now fine.
In the below formula, what's the 2 and 1?
=IFERROR(G2/LOOKUP(2,1/SEARCH(H2,I$2:I$16),J$2:J$16),"")
