Hi Everyone,

I'm hoping that someone might be able to help me or at least make my life easier. I run a fantasy football competition and at the end of each year I update a table that show's the head-to-head record of the teams in the league (Website link: http://goo.gl/3Jec5).

The only way I know how to do this is manually, ie go through each round and manually change the win/loss/draw columns.

Does anyone have any ideas how I could manipulate this data (a fixture on Google Docs: http://goo.gl/49xO0) to give me a head-to-head graph for the year?

Any help would be appreciated right now it takes me a good 4-5 hours to update the table at the end of the season.

Regards ... Andrew

Excel Facts

Remove leading & trailing spaces
Save as CSV to remove all leading and trailing spaces. It is faster than using TRIM().
I can draw in both sets of data using the import external data in excel, - tab1

In tab 2 I have copied your additional link, from here you can use, a few formulas / lookups to complete your desired task.

Time 30 mins of prep - then automated as long as the data stays the same in the web link.

PS>>>> just copy results as and when to google spreadsheet.

Thanks for your reply .. I have the data that's on the website in a xlsx file - the format of this wont change (as I just copy and paste it into Frontpage to update the website). The data in the Google spreadsheet is an example of the "master" data that I'm dealing with.

How would you set the formula's and VLOOKUP's up .. I was playing around with it today and it was doing my head in. Also tried playing around with PivotTables just so I could get some data - but that still didn't work.
