form that locks cells after data has been added

I have a form that adds data to rows and only want users to be able to input data using this form. At the moment the cells can be selected and edited. If i lock rows, columns or cells the userform will not run.

Is there a way to get the form to lock the cells after the data has been added and unlock them again if the amend or delete button is used?

When you show your UserForm use the Unprotect method to unprotect the sheet. When you unload the UserForm use the Protect method to reprotect the sheet.

Thanks for replying. I have added the Unprotect when i show my userform but not sure how to protect again as it is unloaded by using the corner cross.

Any suggestions?

This will fire when the UserForm is closed:

i have added this code to the userform but it won't protect when i close the form.
