Hi all,

I got problems with formatting cells with a date in it;

the date should display like 1-apr-23

when i click the cell it should should show in formula bar; 1-apr-23

With march this worked. Now it's april and it doesn't want to show 1-apr-23.
Whatever i try it turns to 1-4-23.

I formatted the cells to custom -> d-mmm-jj

When i look on the worksheet it shows d-mmm-jj but when i click the ones that are april they are still 1-4-23 in the formula bar.
The March ones show 31-mrt-23.

Why is it not doing what i want?

Excel Facts

Wildcard in VLOOKUP
Use =VLOOKUP("Apple*" to find apple, Apple, or applesauce
Changing the format of the cell does not change the actual value, just how it's displayed.
Dates should always be left as real dates (which is what you have) rather than be converted to text.
