I want to do a look up for the value of a cell and apply the format of the cell in the lookup array the the entire row of the cell I looked up. I am using excel 2010 and my VBA experience is pretty limited.

Thanks
Jimmy

No vba is needed. You only need to base your formatting on the lookup value.

Hi Prince,

Thanks, I had a go at the conditional formatting and it was pretty easy. The only thing is I have about 100 options so will need to set up that many rules. Also it never explained how to apply the formatting to the entire row?

Sorry, not sure I follow that. I don't have a lookup formula in my worksheet. it is a table that i have performed the subtotal function on and i want to format the subtotal rows.
