Hi Everyone

Wonder if you can help please..

I have a file that has been extracted and sent to me but I have one column in which the cells are showing as for example 3.69998E+11 where as it should show as 369998159740..

I have tried formating the column as text but I then need to enter each cell individually using F2 then enter to make the change.

Obviously this is this is very time consuming with several thousand rows.

I have tried pasting the values again and used the ADD option but this did not solvle the problem either.

I have written a macro to step through each cell until the end of the column but is there a way to select the cell as if editing then enter again to activate the change.

Any advise would be appreciated

Regards

Kevin

How can you automate Excel?
Press Alt+F11 from Windows Excel to open the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) editor.
Highlight your column, select Data | Text to Columns, go to Step 3 and select the Text option and click Finish.

This will convert all your entries to text and it will look like you want.
