Hi there,

I have a spreadsheet with dates on the first row, and below if we are working that date we put a "1". I am looking for a formula that can tell me the start date and the end date based off whether the cell is populated.

Any help would be great!! THANKS!!

Excel Facts

What is the fastest way to copy a formula?
If A2:A50000 contain data. Enter a formula in B2. Select B2. Double-click the Fill Handle and Excel will shoot the formula down to B50000.
try
=MAX(IF($A$2:$R$2=1,$A$1:$R$1))
and
=MIN(IF($A$2:$R$2=1,$A$1:$R$1))

use control+shift+enter to enter the formula and get {} around the formula for an array

or perhaps a pivot table
