I am working on a workbook and have a number of data validation drop down lists to make it easier for people to use the sheets. The one where I am having trouble is if on sheet 1 I enter a DV list in column E I want a dependent drop down list to be available in column G,H and I with formulas that calculate based upon the number entered in column A of sheet . I cant make the list no problem but I get an error. I thought making cells H, I and K having a vlookup formula, =VLOOKUP(E11,sheet2,4,FALSE) and that works but it wont reference sheet 1 it references sheet 2 where the formula comes from. I have even set up my formula to look like this =sheet1!$B11*20 thinking that would work but does not. Can formulas not work in a DV list or a vlookup? I would think a vlookup would act like a copy and paste and would automatically reference the B column on the sheet it was brought to. Any help would be appreciated. I am going to start pulling my hair out soon.
