Hi Mr. Excel,

I use: Excel 2007, Windows XP, Internet Explorer.

I would like to freeze both row 1 and row 2 and nothing below. When I select the top two rows(via the numbers to the left) and select "Freeze Panes" it freezes rows 1-11 instead of rows 1-2.

Is there any way to fix this? Row's 1 and 2 contain the column descriptions, and the document is quite long. (It has many rows.) So having the column headings visible for scrolling through the document would be very helpful.

Thanks!

No luck. :/ It seems to always want to just freeze 12 rows. (Even if it is 1, 3-13 instead of 1-12. I feel like this shouldn't be so hard! :/

To anyone needing an answe to this:

I have figured it out! (Finally...)

Step 1: In the "View" tab, select "Freeze Panes" -> "Freeze Top Row"

Step 2: Click on the "1" for row one to highlight the entire row.

Step 3: Right Click on the same "Row 1" and select "Insert"

There should now be two rows frozen at the top of the Sheet. Voila! Continue "inserting" forzen rows until you have the number desired.
