Hi all,

I have quite a simple question for you, having just migrated to a mac and Office 2011. Of course the first thing I want to try out is whether the macros from my PC still work ...

I have a Cell on a sheet, that contains the full pathname of the file I want to load. My macro uses this address to find the file. In PC language, it reads "c:\documents and settings\...." blah blah blah. What syntax do I use for the mac full pathname.

I assume something like "Macintosh HD\Users\Rob\", but cant seem to get it to find my file.

any ideas ?

When they said...
When they said you are going to "Excel at life", they meant you "will be doing Excel your whole life".
The path separator on the Mac is a colon. Use CurDir in VBA to determine your current file path, or in a cell use =INFO("directory"). You'll need to append the workbooks name to the end of the file path to get the complete file path.
