Getting pivot table to sort chronologically instead of alphabetically?

Hey all,

I am having problems sorting my pivot table chronologically instead of alphabetically. I'm not sure why there isn't a simple button to do so. I have a simple data set with dates (ex. July 2015, August 2015,etc.), with a pivot table and slicer. Both the pivot and slicer keeps showing up alphabetically. Any help on solving this problem? I apologize if this question has been asked 1000x before. Thank you.

If these are stored as text, then Excel has no idea that they are dates. You'll need to change the data to 7/1/15 and have it displayed as [mmmm yy].
