Excel Facts

Do you hate GETPIVOTDATA?
Prevent GETPIVOTDATA. Select inside a PivotTable. In the Analyze tab of the ribbon, open the dropown next to Options and turn it off
Hi Lyntan,

They are typically there by default. If you need to add them, do the following:

1) Right click on the pivot table and select Pivot Table Options
2) Click on the Totals and Filters Tab
3) Check the boxes for "Show Grand Totals for Rows" & "Show Grand Totals for Columns"

Hope this helps.

I don't know of a way to do a "Grand Total" in a Pivot Chart, which is why I guess I would usually just create a regular chart from the Pivot Table which of course has the Grand Total's available. Or...(sarcastically) add data labels and have them take out a calculator to add up all the columns :)
