Folks,
Please help me on this one. Ive read several threads and seen many instances that were close to what I need, but no prize as yet.

For my job I have to complete a daily job brief. I have created that brief as an excel spreadsheet since that is much easier than paper in my truck. The spreadsheet has been saved as a template named "Routine Job Brief".

I need a macro that can save a copy of the completed brief, using the date as a file name, to a folder on the desktop labeled Routine Job Brief.(Would it be possible to create a macro that can do all of this and also clear the entries made on the template after the save?)

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Excel Facts

Move date out one month or year
Use =EDATE(A2,1) for one month later. Use EDATE(A2,12) for one year later.
You'll get more flies with honey, than you will with vinegar !!!

I don't have Excel at the moment but...

Try this ... UNTESTED

Code:
Public Sub SaveToDesktop()
    ThisWorkbook.SaveAs Filename:="C:\Users\Public\Desktop\" & ThisWorkbook.Name & Format(Date, "dd/mm/yyy") & ".xls"
End Sub
