Help with a #name? error- Excel 2010

=IF(sheet3!$C$3="Day",Bill)

The bolded and underlined part in the formula is my issue. If that last part is a number the formula works fine, if it is any form of text, I get a "#name?" error. The value from sheet3 c3 is the result of a lookup table. The data from my orignal starting cells must be formatted as text.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

put quotes around Bill so....
=IF(sheet3!$C$3="Day","Bill")
