Did you know Excel offers Filter by Selection?
Add the AutoFilter icon to the Quick Access Toolbar. Select a cell containing Apple, click AutoFilter, and you will get all rows with Apple
You can custom format it.

Select the Date Range you want to convert.
Hit Ctrl-1 to open Cell Format dialog box.
In the Number Tab, Select Custom
In the "Type" field input "dd-mm-yyyy" (without quotes)
OK
