Help with Median in pivot tables

I am trying to make an array formula for a pivot table that works with lots of filters. I'm using Excel 2007, and have had no luck.

I'm using 5 report filters, multiple row labels, and a Count for the values.

I have Year, Month, and unique labels for the rows, and a count of those as the data. I am trying to find the median of the unique labels for each month, with the ability to change the report filters. Is this possible?

Excel Facts

Enter current date or time
Ctrl+: enters current time. Ctrl+; enters current date. Use Ctrl+: Ctrl+; Enter for current date & time.
Update: I've simply added the unique identifier's average to the data field, which just displays the value. Then I added a manual column for median next to the pivot. After copy/pasting the whole table as values, I can make a chart. It's horribly inelegant, and takes way too much time. If there is a better solution, such as a calculated field or array formula, I would love to hear it.

Also added my support for more summary options on microsoft's site...
