I surely hope someone can shed some light on this problem.

I have a worksheet that uses this formula to average letter grades:
HTML:
{=IFERROR(INDEX($C$52:$O$52,MATCH(SUM(SUMIF($C$52:$O$52,C5:N5,$C$53:$O$53))/COUNTA(C5:N5), $C$53:$O$53)),"")}
The formula is copied down to all cells below P5 to P40, but whenever I copy it, the calue I get is the average, but I do not see the formula anymore. The only value I get into the cell is the average of the letter grades. I need the formula to stay in the particular cell so that I I need to change some of the grades, then the formula should correct the result asccondingly. At the end of the formula I do click on "ctrl+shift".

Why is this happening?
Any help please.....

Excel Facts

Workdays for a market open Mon, Wed, Friday?
Yes! Use "0101011" for the weekend argument in NETWORKDAYS.INTL or WORKDAY.INTL. The 7 digits start on Monday. 1 means it is a weekend.
You click?
Crtl+shift+Enter

That should be fine.
Do you have automatic calculation turned on on the spreadsheet?
Which version of Excel are you using?

Not sure I can help, but maybe one of these questions can get us further,
Michael

Daniels012, thank you for your quick reply...

Yes I do click on Ctrl+Shift+Enter.
I am using Excel 2010
I am using Automatic Calculation. This makes it easier to get immediate results as the grades are inputted.

Thasnk you all for your replies...
Mohammad Basem, Daniels012, THANK you for your willingnesds to help.
I think that I have resolved the problem. I do not know what has happened but when I used a backup file of the same worksheet, everything worked fine. I was able to copy down the formulas without any problem. I do not understand why. The files were exactly (I think) the same....

Again

THANK YOU all
