HI, I need to create a Excel Database file for work and more importantly I am really terrible at Excel.
I need rows from 1-1000 and only 1 column - that much I know....but it has to be 1000 records of "1/1000" then "2/1000" then 3/1000 and so on all the way to "1000/1000".
So far all i am getting is "1/1000" then 2/1001" then "3/1002".....I need the number in front of the forward slash to change and count up to 1000 and nothing to change after the forward slash.
Thanks in advance for an feedback/help/doing my job for me :)

How to calculate loan payments in Excel?
Use the PMT function: =PMT(5%/12,60,-25000) is for a $25,000 loan, 5% annual interest, 60 month loan.
In Column A only enter 1-1000
In column B enter formula =A1&"/1000" and drag this to the bottom of your data

Hi,

Another way.

If you're starting in row 1, use A1 formula copied down.
If you're starting in a row Other than row 1, substract That row number by 1 and replace the "9" in my sample for B10 formula, then copied down.

I would be wary of using either of the suggested ROW() formulas. If a row is subsequently added above (for a heading for example) the formulas will return incorrect values.
This slight variation eliminates that possibility
This formula copied down. The red part should be the address of the cell that the first formula is placed in.

=ROWS(A$1:A1)&"/1000"
