Highlight Differences

This should be easy for you experts.

I am in an office football pool and I would like to be able to quickly see who picks the same as me or different.

For instance, If the pick the same as me, highlight their pick in green. If it is different, highlight it red.

Use conditional formatting.

If your picks are in column A and someone else's picks are in column B:

Set up B1's conditional formatting as: formula is = B1=$A1 as green and/or formula is = B1<>$A1 as red

Copy and paste formats down and across (to other people)

I AM NOT FAMILIAR WITH CONDITIONAL FORMATING, PLEASE BE MORE SPECIFIC.

1) Select cell B2
2) Go to format --> conditional formatting
3) Change "Cell value is" to "formula is"
4) enter =B2<>B$1 next to formula is
5) click Format and change the pattern to red
6) click ok twice

(you could add a condition in the format --> conditional formatting menu and use similar steps to set the pattern to green for formula is B2 = B$1 if you'd like)

Copy B2, select B2:G3, and use edit --> paste special --> formats
