I need to highlight a cell that contains a date. If the item is older than 5 years it needs to be red. I understand I need to use Conditional Formating but I can't think of the formula needed. Any help?

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
=IF(NOW()-E6>100,TRUE,FALSE)

where e6 contains the date you are checking.

This will use the format if the difference is 100 days.

Depending on how accurate you want to be, you can use,

=DATEDIF(A1,TODAY(),"Y")>=5
