How do I loop backwards?

I have a loop like this:

For i = 1 to 1200

to process an array, how can I start at the end of the array and work backwards? The help does not indicate this can be done.

I tried

for I=1200 to 1

but it did not work

For I = 2000 To 1 Step -1

Cool, I left out STEP and it parsed my -1 into - 1
