How to Filter when column range contains empty cells?

So I am working with Google Spreadsheets and I have a Spreadsheet that contains several different brands. To keep it organized, there are two empty rows between each brand. I am trying to filter the entire column of 300 rows, but when I enable filter, I am only able to filter the first brand (because there are blank spaces)

How do I filter via the entire range? Here is a piece of the sheet....When I enable filters for Model/SKU/Year I am only able to filter everything in "Don Grosh Guitars" and not extend the filter to "Fender Guitars"

On the empty cell you can add an extra space, this character will make it continus rows or use a helper column so the whole thing becomes selected.
