How to insert a row and auto sum by item type

How can I automatically insert a row after each item type in column A to auto sum their totals in column I?

One easy way is to use the built-in Subtotals feature, which will allow you to insert subtotals at every change in column A, and sum up column B for each different value in column A (which sounds like what you are looking for).
