How to update an embedded worksheet

This question is for a friend. She wants to embed an Excel worksheet in a Word document and then as she updates in either Word OR Excel, she wants the corresponding worksheet in the other application to update as well without actually having to open the other application. In other words, if she updates the worksheet in Word, the Excel worksheet will automatically be updated also, and vice-versa.

I did a search but couldn't really find anything like that.

Thanks,

Larry

Has she tried Edit|Copy in Excel, then Edit|Paste Special, Paste Link, Microsoft Excel Worksheet Object in Word?
