I am compiling a summary of monthly sales reports which include a part number that has several embedded logic references. How to i incorporate another table file that has the logic references defines so that i can import them into the power query and then still be able to add a calculated column into the pivot table that is fed from the power query summary of many monthly sales registers. I think there is a way to connect the reports and define relationship as in a data model but not sure how to do that when utilizing the power query features

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
Power pivot and power query are a whole new world; completely different approach to Excel. There is a lot to learn.

I suggest you take a look at these two articles I wrote some time back to get started, then come back with any questions

Edit: make that 3 articles
