Hyperlinks problems

User just got upgraded to Excel XP from 97, now the hyperlinks in my xls don't work. I recreate and they work, but when I save the file the hyperlinks go back to inactive, and the link path: truncates the first few folders. I tried save as Excel 97-2002 but this still does not work.
Any Ideas?
 

Excel Facts

Do you hate GETPIVOTDATA?
Prevent GETPIVOTDATA. Select inside a PivotTable. In the Analyze tab of the ribbon, open the dropown next to Options and turn it off
