Hi, I'm trying to find a way of editing (many!) hyperlinks which go to cell destinations in another worksheet.

For example in worksheet rawdata.xlsx, I have "lots" of information that I have to synch against cells in another worksheet called target.xlsx

This is part of a tidying up routine to check the synching of information on an update.

I can see how to insert a hyperlink going to a cell in another filename:

i) right click on the cell ii) navigate to filename (that must be in the same folder) iii) select the file iv) put the cell address for example "#a10" after the filename

But I'm wondering if there's a way of converting lots of different specified cell addresses into hyperlinks?

(At this point, I'm hoping a table may illustrate what I'm after better than my babblings...!)

So ... Is there a way of changing the (manual) cell addresses I'm showing in field "cell address" into actual hyperlinks so that I can jump quickly to the corresponding cells in my target file??

target.xlsxJ0002check row for material useage
target.xlsxJ9996check "red"
target.xlsxJ15413update from peter thomas included?
target.xlsxJ26790delete old PO

Thanks for any help you could provide

Warm Regards

Hi Ellison,

I added a column called Hyperlinks to your rawdata.xlsx table and used

Excel Formula:
=HYPERLINK("["&A2&"]Sheet1!"&B2,A2&B2)

I had target.xlsx on my desktop and the hyperlinks from rawdata.xlsx linked directly to those CellAddresses

This is assuming your cell addresses are located in Sheet1 or target.xlsx
