I cannot format these numbers to excel to be counted

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.
put a zero on a spare cell, copy it, select the cells you want to add, go paste special - add. just tried it on the linked file - worked for me...

My decimal delimiter is comma, not dot, do you think it has anything to do with this?
