Identifying matching values due to transposed numbers

Good day guys

Is there a way to compare two sets of values and return a match based on the possibility that the value in column A could be the same as the value in column be as a result of a transposed capturing error.

e.g Column A = 3124 Column B = 1324

I am trying to reduce the amount of time required to identify possible reasons as to why a total is out of balance. I have already managed to search for values that sum up to the the "out-of-balance" amount; though if this is not the reason as to why it is out-of-balance; the next option would be to determine if numbers of specific values have been transposed.

Your feedback is appreciated.

Regards
