Hello, I have a formula that I am using to calculate number of days a task has been open. I have added a col (col B) to include a status. Now I am looking to add to my formula either only calculate if the status “open”. Thoughts??

current formula:
=IF(CI59=0’””’NETWORKDAYS(CI59,IF(CL59=“”,Today(),CL59)))

Excel Facts

Copy a format multiple times
Select a formatted range. Double-click the Format Painter (left side of Home tab). You can paste formatting multiple times. Esc to stop
Your posted formula returns an error - I have guessed at a correction - so relace red text with the true formula

Here are 2 ways, one returns a zero, the other a blank if status is not "open"

=IF(CI59="",NETWORKDAYS(CI59,IF(CL59="",TODAY(),CL59)))*(B59="open")

=IF(B59="open",IF(CI59="",NETWORKDAYS(CI59,IF(CL59="",TODAY(),CL59))),"")
