Index-Match Array Formula

Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.
hi,

=max(a1:e1)

ps is this a homework?

Hi Peter,

Sorry if it's not appropriate to use google sheet in sharing an excel sheet. I just don't know how to share the actual excel sheet to explain further my query ...

my apologies indeed... God bless

It just needs to be clear whether you were looking for an answer in Excel or an answer in Google Sheets. No problem providing an example that way but some potential helpers may just bypass because it was not in Excel. :)

Thank you Peter... well noted. Yeah I noticed some differences with the actual excel and google sheets... definitely I want to apply it in excel ... but i hope you can develop or they(google) can develop to make it equal to excel like the application in "one drive".. I am amazed with simultaneous editing in one file in google sheets. "One drive" also has but it's not easy as google sheets...

How about my query, do you have some suggestion?
