Hello,

I've inherited a leave calendar and am having trouble figuring out how it functions.

Am I able to link it here via dropbox and have someone have a look at it?

Regards
Tom

Tom,

Hello and welcome to the Forum.
People assisting others typically don't like downloading files from people they don't know...macros might contain viruses. You will receive more help if you follow the Forum Guidlines - See 'Posting Aids' in the following link:

If your Leave Calendar uses formulae, to quickly see which cells contain formulas
Ctrl + ` is how to quickly toggle between showing the formula results and displaying the full formulas themselves.
And that symbol is just to the left of the ‘1’ key.

Also, if you are reviewing someone else’s Excel work, and they have included a complicated formula based on some other values in the workbook, and you want to see which cells contribute to that formula there is a simple way to quickly select that cell (or cells).
That shortcut is Ctrl + [.
If the formula refers to multiple cells, then all of them will be selected.

If your Leave Calendar uses macros, you can generally see those macros by pressing Alt+F11 to display the VB Editor. On the lefthand side thereof will be a list of workbooks that are open. You can then select the workbook and if there are any macros they will be listed in a 'Modules' subfolder...These would be 'Standard Code Modules'.

There might also be 'Worksheet Modules'. To see those you need to select each 'worksheet' from the list of worksheets shown on the lefthand side of the VB Editor.
This should get you started.
