I have a simple data table I would like to insert a formula into a column. There are approximately 900 rows records above where I'm entering my formula. I would like to have the formula carry onto the next row added to the table but do not want to have this formula change values in the 900 records above in the table.

Excel Facts

How to total the visible cells?
From the first blank cell below a filtered data set, press Alt+=. Instead of SUM, you will get SUBTOTAL(9,)
say you put the formula in B901 =if(a901="","",a901+5)
drag it down 10 rows
now as you add new data in a column b column populates according to the formula

This is tied to populating a date every time a report is run. Column J formula is =IF(ISBLANK(A931),"WORK ORDER?",NOW()). I want to retain the dates I've already entered into rows 1-900 but have excel populate date going forward.
