Integrating EXCEL spreadsheet into PUBLISHER

I know how to place an EXCEL spreadsheet into a PUBLISHER document. However, I am attempting to place EXCEL data on a specific page which pulls master data from another spreadsheet which isn't in the PUBLISHER document. Is there a proven way to do this?

In other words, I am making up a promotional flyer which already has an embedded EXCEL file. Now I want to pull pricing for this spreadsheet from another spreadsheet.
