I am an excel novice to say the least. My question is this. I have a workbook that lists the schedules of a list of employees for the week. In another workbook I want the names of the people working and their hours to appear for that day.
Example: If in Workbook A it says that Bob and Mary are working 9-5 on Monday I want their names and only their names to show up in Workbook B for Monday and so on with the rest of the staff for the rest of the week.
Is this possible? If at all possible it would be nice to link it so Workbook B changes daily and only displays the names and hours of the people working for that day. Is this possible? I assume this is accomplished by linking the workbooks and possibly some formulas but like I said I am way over my head on this and would really appreciate some help or if it's simply impossible please tell me so.
I am currently on an internship and although this really has little to do with why I am here this task is being requested of me. Any help would be incredibly appreciated. Thanks for your time and consideration.
